Scenarios

The scenarios view allows the user to make copies of run simulations in the underlying system and change input timeseries of these copies to create so-called what-if scenarios. The “what-if” scenarios are automatically compared to the baseline scenario.

The left menu panel has the same functionalities as the one in Main View. After selecting the desired system and places visualization, the user will be working with the right menu panel, while being able to visualize the places on the map.

User clicks on Create new what-if scenario after selecting a simulation.

The user can rename the what-if scenario once it is created.

Once the what-if scenario is renamed, the user needs to select a place from the map, e.g. a reservoir. The minimize function is available for the user to see the map. The map only shows the places with input timeseries that can be changed.

Upon selecting the place, user can choose the input timeseries to be changed.

User can now see and edit the timeseries input to the model simulation.

The timeseries input can be done manually or through bulk import. In order to import, the user needs to first export the table as csv and edit it on excel, before importing it back to the table. The new values will be reflected on the table.

The last step is to run the what-if scenario.

After completing running the what-if scenario, the results and changes of the new scenario will be visible on the map and on the Plot based on the values that are input during the process. The plot can be exported as PNG.
